Minnesota Rule - 7670.0800.b.1.g
Exterior lighting must be automatically controlled by timer, photocell, or combination of timer and photocell. Timers must be of the automatic type capable of adjustment for seven days and for seasonal daylight schedule variations. All time-controllers must be equipped with backup mechanisms to keep time during a four-hour power outage.
